Anonymous proxy

An anonymous proxy is an intermediary server that masks a user's real IP address when making requests to websites and online services. When internet traffic is routed through an anonymous proxy, the server strips or alters identifying client information—most notably the originating IP address—before forwarding the request to the destination. As a result, the target server only sees the proxy's IP address, effectively concealing the user's true location, network identity, and other personally traceable data.
