Honor’s latest phone rips off the iPhone Air, and it’s not even as thin - 9to5Google
Honor has unveiled the Magic 8 Pro Air, a flagship that leans heavily into Apple’s iPhone Air look—yet it isn’t as slim. At 6.1mm, it’s thicker than the iPhone Air’s 5.6mm, largely to fit a 5,500mAh silicon-carbon battery.
From the back, the design echoes Apple with a slim profile and a wide, pill-shaped camera island anchored by a large circular main lens. Honor does add its own twists: two extra rear sensors—a 64MP periscope telephoto and a 50MP ultra-wide—in a Pixel-like arrangement. The orange colorway nods to the iPhone 17 Pro’s headline hue, while the flat, matte sides channel the broader iPhone 17 series. From the front, it even resembles Samsung’s Galaxy S25 Edge more than recent Honor devices.
