Snapchat rolls out its 2025 Snap Recap, a personalized end-of-year video that highlights your top moments from Snaps, Stories, and Chats—showing how you connected and expressed yourself throughout the year.

How to find your 2025 Snap Recap:

• Open Snapchat
• Go to Memories
• Tap the card labeled 'Your 2025 Snap Recap'

Snapchat also shared year-in-review stats showing how people used the app in 2025:

• Calling is thriving: users talked for nearly 1.7 billion minutes per day on average—almost 30% more than last year.
• Voice notes surged: U.S. users sent over 5 billion voice notes, nearly 10% more year over year.
• Group chats stayed central: the number of people sending messages to group chats grew by more than 5%, and some users sent over 8,880 messages to their top group chat.
• Reactions and stickers rose: Chat Reactions jumped 44% (with the heart emoji most popular), and 3 million more people used stickers.

The rollout comes as Snapchat joins a wave of year-end recaps from Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, and Duolingo. It also lands amid backlash over Snapchat’s plan to start charging for Memories storage next year. Free Memories will be capped at 5GB; users above that limit must pick a paid plan:

• 100GB for $1.99/month
• Snapchat+ (250GB) for $3.99/month
• Snapchat Platinum (5TB) for $15.99/month

Some users are calling for a boycott to pressure the company to revisit its storage policy.
